2TimeTheatre is based in Winchester and exists to take classic or original stories, myths, novels, and poems, and re-imagine them for the stage.
Young Jane – three plays based on Jane Austen’s Juvenilia by Cecily O’Neill (published September 2016), was the first publication in a series that includes Drinking with Dorothy – a Comedy in ten Scenes inspired by the work of Dorothy Parker (published January 2017) and Meeting Miss Asuten (published May 2017).
Young Jane was performed at the Chesil Theatre in October 2013 and Meeting Miss Austen as was performed July 2017 as part of the Winchester Festival.
These three playscripts are lively and hilariously funny, offering great scope for amateurs and professionals alike particularly those groups looking for female-led material.

Traditional pantomime scripts with a modern feel - ideal for amateur companies.
Ben comes from a theatrical family and is the son of the actor and pantomime writer, John Crocker. He saw his first pantomime at the age of three and has been hooked ever since - although he can't remember all of the show as he spent the frightening bits under his seat.
Many pantomimes later, Ben studied Drama at Exeter University and for a brief while he had a proper job in publishing which allowed him to either act in or direct a dozen productions at the Tower Theatre, Islington.
After thoroughly enjoying his time at the Tower, he took the plunge and started up his own company, the Magnificent Theatre Company. Specialising in comedy, MTC went on to become one of the country's most sought after theatre companies, playing at the Young Vic and touring to the RSC and to major theatres all over the UK. During that time he also assisted the actor, Sir Nigel Hawthorne.
In 1998, Ben became the Artistic Director of the Northcott Theatre, Exeter. Within two years, audience levels had risen to some of the highest in the country and remained so until he left in 2008. A particular highlight every year being the six week run of the much loved Northcott panto.
During the last twenty years Ben has directed over seventy professional productions, including fifteen pantomimes. Five years ago he started writing the scripts which contain all his knowledge, expertise and love for the artform. They are very funny, fast moving, true to the story and quite possibly the best pantomime scripts in the world - oh, yes they are!

During the First World War just under 3000 new plays were written and licensed for performance across England, Scotland and Wales. Around one quarter of these dealt directly with the war. These plays have mostly been forgotten. However the scripts, their performances, and audience responses to them, offer a unique and unexplored insight into experiences of, and attitudes towards the Great War whilst it was taking place.
If you're looking for something different to perform, esp. for the #WW1 centenary, check out the original plays written during the First World War at our website.
All are free for performance, adapting etc.

Our pantomime scripts are original, imaginative, adaptable, popular, and above all successful, to inspire the performers and bring out the best in them. They are suitable for presentation by both large and small amateur groups, with traditional story lines, comedy, excitement, adventure, and a good mix of songs and action - in fact, all the vital ingredients to delight and entertain your audiences.
Now there are nineteen… scripts that is… in the G. Wizz Promotions catalogue. The latest addition is a version of the Charles Perrault classic, ‘Sleeping Beauty’. It’s a fantastically frisky frolic, with oodles of fadoodle, and it’s up and about now.
Don’t be caught napping. Have a look at my website – gwizzpromotions.co.uk – for more information.
Josef Weinberger founded his publishing business in Vienna in 1885. Through an association with Johann Strauss II, he began licensing performances of Strauss' operettas. Licensing stage works has been a vital part of our work ever since and the principal Viennese operetta composers are represented in our catalogue: Strauss, Millöcker, Zeller, Kálmán, Oscar Straus, Stolz and Fall. We have administered the copyrights of Franz Lehár for many years for Lehár's own company, Glocken Verlag. We have expanded into several other musical genres over the years: contemporary classical, light orchestral, educational, brass and military band, and religious. Our associated production music library, JW Media Music Ltd., is a leader in its field, while our sister companies in Vienna and Frankfurt have developed repertoire for their own respective markets. Today, our theatre catalogue spans the century, from Viennese operettas to British musicals of the 1990s. It spans the globe too, through our representation for the UK and other European territories of the prestigious Broadway show catalogues of Music Theatre International and the Rodgers & Hammerstein Theatre Library. 1998 saw another development, our expansion into the arena of the play with the acquisition of rights in the stage works of the Hungarian playwright Ferenc Molnár. The launch of the Website is another exciting adventure for us, and we look forward to making many new contacts through it, to strengthen our links with the worlds of theatre and music.

Tired of not being able to cast plays?
HELP HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!
Playstage Senior plays have plenty of lead roles for actors aged 40 – 70+
Playstage Senior was formed in the UK in 2008 by playwright Lynn Brittney and friends and now our plays have been performed by English-speaking drama groups all over the world.
Unlike other companies that offer play scripts, Playstage Senior is committed to offering new plays that contain good parts for older actors, because we understand the needs of most amateur dramatic groups! The plays contain some younger parts but the majority of the roles are for actors aged forty and beyond (sometimes way beyond) – and not a Zimmer frame in sight!
We have comedies, dramas, murder mysteries, period costume plays – all in one act and full length formats – and we are adding new plays to our catalogue all the time.
And not only that but we have some of the cheapest licence fees in the business. Performing one of our plays is not going to break the bank, no matter how small your venue.
A New Concept in Publishing for the Amateur Theatre “God’s teeth! Another rejection letter. Methinks I’ll just jack it in”; might well have been the reaction of Shakespeare if he had been in receipt of the negative, unqualified and unstructured criticism dished out to some of our authors. Perhaps you, too, have experienced problems getting a play published or finding new works to perform. Amateur writers often struggle to get their work out to the wider world and producers can find it hard to quickly and easily identify new plays. Apart from refusing to publish material that is racist, xenophobic or in any other way considered to be in bad taste, we will publish and we will warn of content that might offend the sensibilities of certain elements or groups by the use of symbols. To save producers the trouble and expense of finding plays to perform we have enhanced the process of identifying suitable plays so they are able to peruse online any play in it’s entirety for free. Playwrights and Players has been established by enthusiasts who are experienced in both the worlds of amateur dramatics and publishing and who are fully aware of the obstacles many authors and producers encounter.
POYNTERVIEW PLAYSCRIPTS based in Yorkshire UK exists to publish the works of Elizabeth Poynter.
