The Janus Theatre Group is one of the great success stories of the amateur theatre in Peterborough. The Group developed from the Bushfield Tappers, a private dance school,in the early 1980, which started with just a half-dozen students. Kings Cliffe Players

Kings Cliffe, Peterborough

The King’s Cliffe Players were born out of a local choir group, the first production was a Music Hall evening, 'An Evening of Edwardiana', in 1986. This was followed by our first Pantomime, 'Dick Whittington' in 1987. Since that time, the group has typically put on 2 productions a year - one in February (usually a pantomime) and one in October (a play), although in recent years, a third production has sometimes been squeezed in during the summer months.
We are an enthusiastic and vibrant group, forming a strong connection with the surrounding area and absorbing a proportion of it - particularly during a pantomime!

ALL ABOUT LEADA
LEADA is a part time club for children and young adults based in Wisbech and Fenland. Our classes cover Acting, Performing Arts, Drama games and activities designed to raise self esteem and confidence. We are not a school of Musical Theatre but we provide opportunities to explore ideas through the medium of acting, voice, movement, puppetry, mask and music. Members learn about stage craft in order to turn their stories into plays, which they perform.
Whatever a child's ability or experience they are welcome at LEADA - we will work with each individual child to develop and achieve their own potential.
We also welcome children who are looking for new ways to help increase confidence in school and everyday life. We have lots of girls and boys who have developed huge improvements in confidence through attendance at classes and this can be a great boost in terms of academic achievement in school.

Libra Theatre Company

Cambridge

Libra Theatre has been working in Cambridge with actors of all abilities and skill levels since 1984. Our aim is to produce challenging and entertaining theatre of a professional standard.
Our last theatre production was The Dragon of Wantley based on the 17th-century poem of the same name and directed by Stephanie Hall. The play incorporated songs written in a workshop by Libra members themselves under the musical guidance of Will Hall. The two performances took place in late July 2010 and a DVD of the play will be available to buy in the autumn.
Libra also has a thriving film section which is currently working on its fourth film project: film noir. All films are devised, acted, filmed and produced by Libra members.
Please contact us if you would like to find out more about Libra sessions or productions.

Situated in the heart of the Anglia Ruskin University Campus (off East Road, Cambridge), the Mumford Theatre is a university theatre presenting a range of professional touring, local community and student theatre. It also presents music events including a series of free lunchtime recitals.

Cambridge

We are One Tree Theatre Productions, a new theatre company based in Cambridge, UK. The company is new, but we are not... in fact we have been working together for some time (some of us for years!) being involved in several productions in Cambridge as actors, directors, set builders, etc. We are self funded company, comprising cast and crew with track records in quality productions, and international collaborative links to three different companies: 3er Drama (Uruguay), Historyonics Theatre (UK) and Sk8 Board Theatre (UK). We have joint our efforts and previous experience and Waiting for Godot is our first production of, surely, many to come. Our main interest is to interact with our local community offering interesting theatre projects and to create a platform where new artists in the local drama scene can develop their talents.
