Stagemasque Theatre Company welcomes adults and young people to become members. However a minimum age of 14 years applies to all members. The qualification is to have reached your 14th Birthday on or by the opening night of the next Stagemasque Theatre Company production.
Stagemasque Theatre Company does not discriminate on the grounds of race, ethnic or national origins, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, age, disability, religious or political beliefs or socio-economic status.
Stagemasque Theatre Company will begin by producing Musical Theatre style shows. We have ambitious plans however to expand into other styles/genres and also encompass many different performance media to become a unique amateur theatre company within Northamptonshire, if not the U.K.
We already have a unique name so you will always remember that – hopefully in the future you will also remember the performances too.

St Albans Charity Players

Northampton
St Albans Church Hall, Mayfield Road, Off Broadmead Avenue, Northampton NN3 2RE

In the late nineties two amateur dramatics groups decided to combine youth and experience to create The St Albans Charity Players of Northampton. The St Albans Players, who have graced the stage of the St Albans Church Hall for 80 years, joined forces with the then youthful ten year old Charity Players. The mission: to have fun, and to raise funds for local charities by putting on three productions a year - a comedy, a thriller and a pantomime.
Through the years the group has performed well-known plays such as Billy Liar, The Winslow Boy and Continental Quilt, as well as a number of original pieces penned by our own scriptwriting talent.
We have a production team second to none whose dedication and improvisation regularly transform the Church Hall into a set worthy of the West End.
Each year we select a charity to benefit from the ticket sales and to date we have raised almost £20000. Our chosen charities have included The Cynthia Spencer Cancer Hospice, Northampton Carers and The Meningitis Trust.
The hours of practice and hard work are outweighed by the enjoyment of everyone involved, and the pleasure of raising money for such worthy causes. So come on and "Give applause for a Very Good Cause".

U R Actors

Wellingborough

I Co-Run a Non for Profit Youth Theatre Group in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire called U R Actors. We meet on a Thursday Evening from 5.30pm until 7.30pm. Our rehearsal and performance venue is Salem Hall, Salem Lane, Wellingborough. Members pay £5 per half term. We meet during School Term Times and occasional Sundays just before a show. When not rehearsing for a show, we work on; new material, learn new dances, new songs, etc. In 2010; we took our members to a recording studio and created our very own CD, we went to "Crossways" - a residential centre in Yardley Hastings in June for the weekend. Those looking to join us must be within the age range of 8 to 18 years in order to become a member. Once a member becomes 18 years of age they will not perform with the company any longer but will be encouraged to become a "Young Leader" and learn the various roles that encompass running a group. We have a limit on the number of members; so as to be able to give quality time to each young person and give all members the opportunity to perform. Places are limited and those wishing to join when all places have been taken will be added to a waiting list and contacted "in turn" when a space within the group becomes available. If you are interested in joining us then more information can be found on the "About Us" page or use the Contact Form to ask any specific questions you may have. We look forward to meeting some of you in the future!
