We welcome all comers whatever your skills, interests and background. There is no need to be an accomplished performer, set designer or costume maker in order to become involved – all that is needed is interest and enthusiasm. We need performers, set designers and builders, costumes designers with sewing skills, people who like doing props or front of house.
The society is small and friendly, with some members having been involved since the society’s beginnings 40 years ago. There are usually 3 productions per year, plus informal play–readings, theatre visits and social events.

We are a newly formed am dram group (2016). We perform Murder Mysteries in restaurants around Nottinghamshire at themed dining events and in local schools/village halls for fundraising occasions. We are very happy for new members to join us - so if you can 'act extremely suspiciously OR die most dramatically OR be a calculating murderer OR EVEN loiter maliciously backstage' - then we are the group for you.

Little Barn Theatre Company

The Byre, 5 Eastfield, North Muskham, Notts. NG23 6HE

We are a small company made up of drama practioners, actors, teachers and writers, who consider drama and the creative arts to be of great value to your students.
We understand the importance drama can play in a student's life by developing confidence, communication skills and self esteem, not to forget the education content that can be delivered through a practical and creative approach to any subject matter.
Exploring any topic, dramatic style, practioner, or areas of the PSHE curriculum through drama can provide a much greater understanding. It can act as a forum for the students to explore the world around them, and enable them to make moral, ethical and social decisions. Looking at topics from a practical perspective can also allow students to find an affinity with a situation and see a story from many different angles. We offer a number of workshops for students of all ages, and seek to engage them in an educational event that is both challenging and fun. We are open to consultation with yourselves as to how to best meet the needs of your students in any given subject area, and to achieve collectively the outcome you desire.
We also run classes for pupils to participate in outside of school hours, were the emphasis is on performance skills, and showcasing the work of local writers ,and new writers from around the country in a variety of venues. A sample of some of the texts are currently available on our website www.littlebarntheatre.co.uk, along with more information about the workshops we carry out and the classes we offer, along with our latest perfromances and future auditions.
