Loose Cannons

Loose Cannons are probably one of the smallest theatre companies in the Principality, consisting of only three full-time members! But with over 50 years of performing between them, they have been very successful since their inauguration in 1999.
They stage two major productions per year as well as competing in several drama festivals. They have performed at festivals in England, Wales and Ireland, but their greatest success came in 2005, when they took the award for "Best Staged Production" at the All-Wales One-Act Drama Final in Colwyn Bay.
They have recently won the Anglesey One-Act Drama Festival 2006 with one of their own plays, "A Perfect Day". This script will be available for performance from June 2006. Visit their website for more information.

Membership is invited under two main categories -
"On Stage" and "Off Stage" members
Applications are welcomed from anybody but all applications are forwarded to the committee who must then approve them.
For those wishing to join us on stage the committee will arrange the necessary auditions with the applicant at an agreed date/time, following which a decision will be made as to whether to approve their application for On Stage membership. Approval will depend on our requirements for the current show and a satisfactory performance during auditions.
If however the committee are not able to offer On Stage membership at that time, it may still be possible for the applicant to join us as an Off Stage member (allowing Backstage work, set building, refreshments, sound/lighting etc) until an opportunity arises to offer On Stage membership.

The Ucheldre Repertory Company

Ucheldre Centre, Millbank, Holyhead, LL65 1TE

The Ucheldre Repertory Company is the resident theatre company at the Ucheldre Centre in Holyhead on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales.
We are always pleased to hear from people who would like to join us and they would be welcome to participate in any aspect of the company. Although new actors and actresses are always welcome, a drama company cannot function without people to help with costumes, props, sets, and administration. The company meets weekly for rehearsals, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm. Rehearsal days do occasionally change, so to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to contact The Ucheldre Centre us to confirm the plans for the current week.
