Essex Police Headquarters, Chelmsford

Our first musical, Calamity Jane was performed in 1966 in the newly constructed Assembly Hall at Headquarters. Back in the 1980s the society was renamed The Essex Police Musical Society, since then the Society has produced two shows each year at the Assembly Hall and after over fifty years we are still going strong.
EPMS has been going now for over five decades and we have enjoyed a very gratifying rise in membership over the last few years. Although it is hard work and time consuming, it’s always enjoyable and a hugely compelling hobby.
We rehearse every Monday and Thursday evening from 7.30 p.m. to around 10 p.m. in the Assembly Hall at Police Headquarters in Springfield, Chelmsford so anyone is welcome to join us.
