We are proud to be one of those companies entrusted with the introduction of these newly released shows onto the amateur circuit. Stoke-on-Trent The Foundation was set up in late 2006 in the name of Robert Bickerton who died in a road accident on September 6th 1999 aged 19. Robert's parents, Alan and Susan and his brothers Andrew and James wanted to do something tangible to honour his memory. The intention is to raise funds for charities through a series of fund raising events. The family decided to choose a particular cause or charity each year and it decided for the inaugural year to raise money for helping children with life threatening illness. Our fund raising activities started from January 1st 2007. A complete programme of events is shown on our web site and it is hoped that the wide variety of activities will enable us to get support from people of all ages and inclinations! In 2007, the Robert Bickerton foundation raised £7,500 through a number of events. A donation of £4,500 was made to Ellie Mae Mellor to help pay for home equipment and possible treatments. A further £3,000 donation was made to the Donna Louise Foundation. Our 2008 appeal raised £5,000 for the County Air Ambulance. Contact via our website or social media |
